Illegal to possess without a pin stopping it at tenI understand that the Glock 17 is modified for the Canadian market has has a limited capacity of 10 rounds. Is it actually illegal to own a 17 round magazine or is it just illegal to use it?
Thanx guys. One other question...
I would imagine that the police don't have this restriction. Do they have full capacity mags?
Short answer: NoSo, for the average enthusiast, does this limitation sort of defeat the purpose of a Glock?

A Glock 17, or a 17 shot clip?
I understand that the Glock 17 is modified for the Canadian market and has has a limited capacity of 10 rounds. Is it actually illegal to own a 17 round magazine or is it just illegal to use it?
You an buy 17rounds mag pinned at 10. If you take out the plastic block inside the mag it's now a prohibited device....
Please, it is not a "clip" it is a magazine. The Glock 17. It appears that I could easily purchase a high mag clip on line and ship it to Blaine.
