I have never fired a CZ rifle with a folder but they sure do look cool. I know my shotgun is definately not as nice to fire with the folder, not quite as stable. What do you guys think about the folding stock that comes with the 858? Do you notice any significant difference?

I was thinking of the very same question today. I was also trying to decide on the 858 or a ruger sr1911... lol so many options so little money.

I had the same questions ect, especialy if it shot as harshly as an ak I fired years ago. I bought the folder model and I am glad I did, the thing has about as much recoil as a .22 and the metal to face contact isn't a problem for me.

Mine came with the fixed one. Later i changed the stock for the folder but i quickly reinstalled the fixed stock. Lenght of pull was the same with both stock, in my opinion, the folder, except for the look have no advantage on the fixed. I found the fixed more stable anyway:)

Depends on what you're using the 858 for. I use mine as a hiking/trail gun though I would not ##### about having a fixed stock, but I would rather have the side folder because the bushes here, are thick and a long rifle would snag on everything. The side folder does wobble and is annoying when range shooting
