SIG Mosquito or walther p22

Neither. There are many threads on this, but both have had issues with broken slides, and the Mosquito tends to be picky about what it eats, at least for awhile.
A Ruger Mk.1, 2, or 3 is a better pistol, and comes with a good trigger. They can be extremely accurate. Browning Buckmarks are another good choice. Then there are the various .22 conversion kits for 9mm's and .45's

Other options would include the Sig Sauer P229, 'Classic 22' @$669.99 and the Sig Sauer P226 Classic in .22LR @$719.99

Also, look into the GSG 1911. Generally most people will agree the Ruger MK 1, 2, or 3 and the GSG 1911 are the best 22lr handguns for the money. If you want to go more high end theres the CZ75 Kadet or various 1911 conversion kits. In my opinion the Sig Mosquito, Walther P22, and the Sig Classic 22 are junk. I know people that own each of them and all have had troubles. The best of the bunch is the Sig Classic 22 but, it still isnt close to the options that I have listed above. Again, just my opinion but, its based on hours of research, trying these guns, and from people I know that own them. My first 22lr handgun will be one of the two, Ruger MKIII or GSG 1911 should I ever decide to buy one. Unless something else comes out that compares. Now, if I can just quit buying centerfire handguns and rifles

i wonder how well the 1911 gsg conversion kit would match up in my norinco. need to do some research.
Not sure if it would work? I dont see why not. I am sure someone will chime in. You can buy the GSG 1911 complete gun for $399 or less though. I could see it getting annoying changing the oily slide all the time.

That P22 is way over priced, $300.00 pistol. They are pretty good, just have to polish the internals, take off any sharp edges and give the firing pin spring a little stretch. If your hands are XL then forget the P22 and look at the GSG 1911.
the sig 229 or 226 .22 classic or the GSG 1911 is what you should be thinking of, not the walther or mosquito
not that the walther and mosquito are complete garbage, but you get much more more gun for the money with the GSG or sig .22 classic pistols

X 2 If you want a rimfire Sig this is the best way to go. I would go with the Classic 22-226 because you get a reasonably priced Sig Calibre Xchange kit and step up to 9mm or 40. They also show up on EE often for the price of a new Mosquito.
