Does anyone know if this mag release will work with the promag clips with the shell? It is a promag mag release so I hope it will. But I would like to confirm before I buy it.

I am looking for a mag release similar to the maurader kit. Just a straight mag release that is compatible with the promag clips. Any suggested mag releases? Please post a pic or PM.
 
I read about how to modify the mag sleeves but I am wondering if there is a mag release which will not require any modifications of the sleeves. So the promag extended mag release is not compatible with the promag magazines without modification? seems silly to me
 
Things are strange all over .. lol

I would try one from Tacsol ... they are cut back and sweep under the trigger guard and from the looks of it will not interfere with the back of the mag.
 
I'm not a huge fan of how those mag releases look. Now I'm wondering if it is even worth buying the promag extended mag release if modification is still required. Anyone have any photos of what the extended mag release looks like on an SR-22?

Ok i saw some pictures and I took out my sr-22 to compare. I don't really see a difference in length of the mag release with the promag version vs the stock one. I'll just have to modify the sleeves. Not a BIG deal, was just hoping there was a nice extended mag release that was compatible (not the tacsol ones though).

Raunch Tactical make a release that sets the paddle back towards the trigger guard more, unlike the Ruger OEM one that is set forward. I got mine from rimfiresports but unfortunately they do not ship to Canuckistan any more, so you may be hard up to find one.

There was a picture of what looked like one on Jerry's (mystic precision) 10/22 that had a 9/22 mag on it. And the look of it fit nicely without modification, I just can't find the picture of it ... I know it's here ... lol :D
 
Someone on here had a PWS T3 mag release lever on their SR-22 setup where he was also using a promag 9-22 with the shell. I think he said it worked with that setup.

Ooooh I am intrigued by that one... Anyone have a pic of what this looks like with the promag clip?

Edit: found some pics. If anyone knows where I can get one within Canada please let me know. I found one in the states for about $24 Canadian plus $14 in shipping. Questar has a 6-12 week wait on the order :S

I received my PWS T3 Lever mag release from Questar just before Christmas and finally had a chance to install it on my SR-22 tonight. The Promag mags now fit my SR-22 and Marauder with no problems and no alterations. Now just have to get out to the range and see how they feed :)
