Ive read the IDPA rules and they are kinda general, so i would like to ask the CGN community about my current pistols configuration.

I participate currently in a club level IDPA setting and it is very relaxed and easy going, i love every minute of it. I love IDPA and I am waiting for the spring when i can take my NSO course and start competing in matches other than at my current club. So I would like to know what i am allowed to do to my gun, but still be able to qualify for IDPA.

So i am a big guy. 6'7 275lbs with XL size hands. This means that finding guns that fit my hand properly is very difficult. I have found one that i absolutely love! Its a full size Glock 20 in 10mm. I love this gun and everything about it.

Also, like all my guns, i sometimes go a little overboard with the aftermarket accessories.

Currently my G20 wears:
Truglo fiber/trijicon night sights
Titanium 3 pin kit, purely cosmetic
Extended take down lever
Titanium striker and plunger, this makes the trigger break very nice!
Extended slide release, but its the standard glock extended one so i am under the impression this is ok
Ive got an IGB aftermarket 10mm barrel- so i can load the 10mm to its fun factor
Recoil buffer- so the slide doesn't beat the crap out of the frame shooting full power 10mm loads
I also has a #22 recoil spring, but it appears i will have to get an aftermarket guide rod in order to install this in the pistol, again for the hot 10mm loads

So my question to the IDPA experts:

The way i currently have my glock set up, can i still compete in IDPA? What is ok and what isn't? Also because of the upgrades am i still in SSP? Or would i move to a different class?

Basically i wanna pimp out my glock as much as possible but still be able to compete in IDPA matches.

Just a pic of my glock to show its awesomeness!!!!!

The way your G20 is configured it does not comply with IDPA SSP Division but is OK for ESP Division.

Currently my G20 wears:
Truglo fiber/trijicon night sights - OK for SSP
Titanium 3 pin kit, purely cosmetic - Moves the gun to ESP
Extended take down lever - if this a Glock part OK for SSP otherwise ESP
Titanium striker and plunger, this makes the trigger break very nice! OK for SSP
Extended slide release, but its the standard glock extended one so i am under the impression this is ok - OK for SSP
Ive got an IGB aftermarket 10mm barrel- so i can load the 10mm to its fun factor - OK for SSP

There is a Rules Clarification listed on our website that covers replacement barrels for the Glock.

Re-install the stock pins and your gun is good to go in SSP Divison assuming the extended take down lever is made by Glock.

If you like the gun the way you have it set up have fun in ESP Division.

Take Care

Re-install the stock pins and use the .40cal barrel and your gun is good to go in SSP Divison assuming the extended take down lever is made by Glock.

Please clarify:

The Glock G20 is a stock 10m auto pistol (the G22 is a stock .40 S&W). The shooter has replaced the factory barrel with an aftermarket barrel of the same caliber. How does that move the pistol to ESP?

From Page 20 of the IDPA Rulebook:

(Permitted modifications include - For SSP)

6. Internal accuracy may be worked to include replacement of
barrel with one of factory configuration and original caliber.

So if i reinstall the stock pins I'm ok?

What about guide rods? I would like to install the higher power recoil spring. Is that possible with the stock guide rod? Or do i have to buy another guide rod? Is it possible to buy a stock glock guide rod to add the #22 recoil spring?

It doesn't, my mistake the G20 is a 10mm so that part is OK. The OP pistol still goes to ESP though due to the titatnium roll pins. I'll correct my original post, thanks. Given the OP says they are just for looks, if I was him I would replace them with the originals and play in SSP.

Take Care
Bob.
