there are a few, Kingston pen, Dorchester pen

Hmmm I saw a couple a cops the other day, one was packin a bic the other a Pilot. The young guy said the Pilot works better when you have to draw and is easier to reload. I asked the older one if he was concerned bics are harder to reload, he said thats why he carries a back-up. Cops.

Zebra F402 is the best of all worlds. Reliable, high capacity, good writing power, easily reloadable. Wide array of cartridges for it, I prefer fine point.

I just know when my brother was on the range with me, he was given Winchester Ranger ammo...

Your brother is rcmp? And he wasn't able to tell you what ammo he uses? Can he tell you what pistol he uses? Or what the storage or transport regs for restricted firearms are?

...I was on Winchesters website and there is no such thing as 147gr.

No you weren't. Unless you mean this website, http://www.winchestermysteryhouse.com/. Cause then you'd be right, there is no 147gr ammo on that winchester site.

Oh well, I kept one of the cardboard boxes it came in and will look tonight when I get home

So? What's the verdict? Did you check the box? What did you find? Does it look similar to this?

Anyone else think he won't be back?

Yes, my brother is RCMP and he doesn't come to work with me so I am unable to turn and ask him and he can't take personal text messages so I had to wait until I got home. Since I kept the empty box he brought with him (I reload and free once fired brass and a way to easily transport them home is always nice) I never asked him what he had in his gun, I just saw the box he pulled out to reload his mags.

Apparently I was wrong  OOOOOOHHHHH NOOO!!!! Sorry to prove that I am human

I have now checked the box and in fact it does say 9mm Luger 147 gr. Full Metal Jacket.

As for the website, I went to http://www.winchester.com/Products/le/handgun-ammunition/Pages/default.aspx which I didn't think FMJ's would be an ideal carry round for trying to stop someone so didn't check that location, I checked
JHP
which had two 115gr options, regular and +P
Frangible
only one option which is 85gr
T Series
I only saw the 127gr option and didn't notice that there is infact a 147 above it
Partition Gold
only one option which is 124gr
Full Metal Jacket
only one option which is 124gr as well

The FMJ-E's location which I didn't check were 147's as well.

Again, my appologies for seeing his first mags which had JHPs in them and not paying attention to what he shot the rest of the day.

oh, and apparently I wasn't the only one who was wrong today too... I did come back Laugh2

Says the guy that starts a thread about prices in the EE being too high.

What does it matter to you why someone is curious about something?

Do you go in the magpul dvd threads where the fagboys ask about what kind of jacket/pants/holster/gun/glasses/ear pro/boots/watch/underwear/lube/rubbers/etc the instructors wear and use?

If not, why come here and do the same about ammo the police use?
