casing stuck in my sks barrel :(

Get a cheap brass or aluminum jag. Take very fine metal saw and make a slit down half its length.
Spread the halves a bit.
Pass a long cleaning rod through the barrel from the muzzle; thread the modified jag on it and pull the rod back in to clear the chamber.
The jag's ends will click behind the stuck case neck and if you give the rod a sharp rap, there are chances you'll dislodge the metal ring.
PP.

dwight,if nothing works,pm me with your adress and I'll send you a used bullet with the rifling on it ( dug some out of a snow hill last winter...they go 2 feet in at 150 yd and get not damaged at all) ...lube,insert with tip into muzzle, push down with cleaning rod (offers medium resistance) and give the rod a whack down when the bullet reaches the broken case...worked all the time for me,since then I'm keeping a used bullet with the cleaning stuff in the buttplate compartment.;)

If you try the chamber cast method...sulfur is available as a fertilizer. Plug the barrel a half inch or so in front of the case mouth, try to pour into the case only or just a bit more. Warm the exterior of the chamber with the torch. I like to use a solid brass rod, larger diameter but not close to snug in the bore.

Good idea, imma try out some things before, but worst case ill keep you in mind. Sweet ;)

try a drill bit that is snug when u put it into casing and try to thin out the walls, then get a really smaw screwdriver and try to shove it in between casing and chamber and try to make the casing walls collapse enuff that u can get a needlenose in there

Do not be digging at the separated case with anything that might scratch or gouge the chamber. Damage the chamber and you might have a ruined rifle.
Get the broken case extractor.

First, get some Freon in a tank with a hose.

Then, get a small torch. Keep both handy.

First, take the freon and freeze the barrel. Then, take the torch, light it and quickly jam the flame up as close to the casing as possible.

After the whole thing has exploded, the casing will no longer be stuck in the barrel, as the barrel will no longer exist :D

ALLS London as something here

The use of cold may work, if it is a brass casing.

since you have a ring and brass contract more than steel

if you heat it up the brass ring will expand and will be harder to extract

Putting your rifle outside at -15oc like tonight may untighten it out

One question where the casing come from?

Plug the open reciever area with rag's. Pour laqur thinner (or Kroil oil) down the barrel. Let it soak. After a few hours drain the left over laqur (or Kroil oil) out. Take a mini sledge hammer and a cleaning rod that you don't mind f'ing up. Slip the cleaning rod down the barrel. Break out the heat gun and warm up the butt end of the stuck shell on low for about 5 minutes. Then with the rifle secure in a vise or something like that proceed to whack the cleaning rod. If this doesn't work then a gun smith is who you should be talking to next

I remember back when toonies were new, a friend of mine heated one in a frying pan until it wouldn't get any hotter, then transferred it right to his freezer. The inside and outside sections popped, I think he had to do it three times.

Even if it's a steel casing, it's MUCH thinner than the barrel, and so will contract more readily than the thicker barrel metal.

Way to kill the joke dude, and welcome :D

Wanted to Thank everyone for their suggestions and ideas. Also want to give a special shout out to F55, who met me at CRAFM with his shell extractor (which got bent in the process, damn thing was stubborn). Been pulling my hair for a while trying to get that damn thing off lol.

To top things off, let me fire one of the guns he brought and i learned a few things about reloading, which I've wanted to look into but been a little intimidated lol. Thanks a lot.

part of case extracted next to fired pmc 7.62x39, looks like it separated at the shoulder

dwight_Shrute the gun was sub2k, if you need help with reloading let me know.
