Bump Fire Stock

The RCMP WILL view this as full auto.

Once they decree that it's full auto then EVERY M4 becomes prohibited as it's now "easily converted to fully automatic".

All it will take is for one of those stocks to be seized and handed over to the RCMP for review.

With that dim logic every one of our M14s, M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, Mini-14s, Ruger 10/22s, SKSs and any/all other rifle with reciprocating bolt handles will be deemed prohibited because all can be readily converted to full auto with a shoestring. If anything happens, the RCMP will deem the slide-fire stock to be a prohibited device, and will not go any further than that.

That logic might not be far off, if the RCMP do things like the ATF. If you use an elastic band to help you bumpfire a rifle in the States, you can be charged with possession of a prohibited device. That's right, the ATF deems an elastic band a prohibited device if used in this manner.

The ATF has also deemed that chore boy pot scrubbers are illegal, if you possess a suppressor

Geez, and I thought the shoestring was bizarre, but that really takes the cake. Also, how incredibly... I can't even even find a word, how can you prohibit anyone from buying cleaning pads??? Then again, this is the same agency that thought illegally selling guns to druglords in a neighboring country would help inflate domestic crimes to justify a war on guns was a good idea. Soon US gun owners won't be able to buy a potato without a $200 tax stamp.

Pretty ridiculous isn't it? Politics never seem to amaze me, especially when it comes to firearms...

You seem to be forgetting that we're talking about the same organization that classified the GSG-5 as an MP5 variant.

Because the GSG5 was being advertised as a ".22 Caliber MP-5". Not saying it was smart but if they would have just called it a GSG-22 and never mentioned MP5 than it wouldn't have been a variant :D

Not sure if the RCMP has officially taken a stance on the matter, but they would likely prohibit it due to the following:

So my finger is an electrical or mechanical device? I like to think of it as my finger.

A stock is a stock. A trigger is a trigger. The law is the law, and I don't see anything wrong with wanting to shoot a few rounds fast once in a while.

Yes of course the sky is falling. Thanks for coming out.

Best post in this thread! :D I laughed out loud!

Hands-up, who wants this thread forwarded to the media? This is all it will take to create a media storm so big that it will push all semi-autos to prohibited status.

News flash for you: some Canadian gun laws don't make sense! Luckily for us I think it's safe to say this is one stupid law that doesn't exist.

What's the point of owning guns at all? Honestly... why do you own guns?

Maybe for the same reasons I do... BECAUSE IT'S FUN. :ar15:

What's the difference between putting 5 holes in a target in 1 min, and putting 5 holes in a target in 1s? Still just holes in the paper!!!

I'd rather not concern myself with what the anti's and media think. If I cared, I wouldn't own guns because upsetting the anti's and media is not nice... right?

If you saw the flyer kicking around Surrey a couple weeks ago, with the Steyr 50 cal on it, you'd realize they really don't care if it's a bolt action, semi-auto, or anything. The fact is ALL guns are bad, and NO ONE should have them.

Forget about a springy stock. We have massive 50 cal rifles to prohibit, that are currently being packed around in gang bangers trousers on our Surrey streets!
