We got asked a lot in regards to the CASV-14 and the recently announced QDM-14 as well. We will be receiving them soon and are waiting for Vltor to fill my order. We will post the price asap.

CASV-14 (BLK and Tan)

The original Cluster Rail System developed for Springfield Armory, featured a removable Lower Handguard, mated to the upper rail assembly. The CASV-14 is strictly an upper rail system, with no means to mount a lower handguard system. The upper rail assembly fits on most M14/M1A platform, but with the exception of some “Heavy Barrel” systems; such as National Match models, M21 platforms and/or any heavy barreled system. For the CASV-14 to mount securely onto the weapons barrel, access to the OpRod guide is mandatory. In other words, the OpRod guide has to be fully exposed (front and back) for the CASV-14 to mount around the OpRod Guide.

QDM-14

The QDM-14 gives the user the ability to have a bottom mounted Picatinny rail and a push button side slide mount without modifying the original GI fiberglass handguard assembly.

casv-14 rail wouldn't work with an m25. The m25 integral rail would interfere with the the vltor rail.

Would be great on an lrb m14sa though...

That's why I'm getting the M14 SA. The SA will also work with everything else like the Troy battle rail and Chassis as well as the Sage EBR etc. Why limit yourself with the M25 unless you are REALLY sure you'll be content with that set up.

Because I'm a minimalist and that's a lot of coin into a platform I'm not really even a big fan of. I just want to see what all the commotion is about. ;)

Why is it that those that call themselves minimalists tend to have the most crap?

Two posts above you are talking about shiznit to start your m14 into.

I have very little "crap". I find the internet funny sometimes. If you only knew me, you would understand how wrong your statement is. In my previous post I simply stated that the M14 SA has more options than the M25 receiver. If/When I decide I need an M14 I will likely use the M14 SA unit.

Sorry to take this long to reply.

This is directly from the manufacturer's web
