Russian captures k98k's

Not according to the EE. lol

I laughed at those ads too (RC, EG, Restored K98 with a replaced Norwegian Stock), but when they sit there in the EE for months,
you know they are dreaming asking 2 to 3 times what they are worth!
(And how can we forget the RC at 5 Times the price (The $2500.00 RC?!?!) at the dealer!) LOL

Personally, I think they are all looking for a newbie that doesn't know any better. (A Fool and his Money soon Part)

Remember, Asking price doesn't mean it Sold!

Aw, crap. To busy #####in about high prices to notice a great deal right under my nose. A guy must have to finatically watch the EE if you want one at a half decent price.

No kidding! I need a 1940 and 45 to complete the war years!! Serves me right taking the family out to Costco for the afternoon LOL!

Half of it is obsessively watching the EE, the other half is simply luck. You can't be on every minute of every day. I wonder who got it.

Bottom line, while I love the idea of some new to Canada k98's, I'm not interested in anything until I see it, or have an accurate description by someone I trust. The last thing I want is a poor quality milsurp. I just gave my sister a mosin that was poorly described because it offended me. Bought here, perfectly shootable, but below my standards. That's all I need, another give away rifle.

If a dealer went out on a limb and brought in a few hundred RC Mausers, a few buyers would find fault in them and back out of the deal. He would be caught holding a bunch of guns for years.
I have a couple of RC Mausers and they are in VG to Exc condition. They must have been from the early batches. I don't shoot them, I would rather shoot my FN manufactured K98 and and a few others Mausers in 7.62 or 30-06. You don't see them very often.
I used to buy the Israeli 7.62 Mausers three or four at a time, I slowly sold or traded them off over the years. Just kept one or two in my collection, along with some Israeli .22s.

If a supplier brought in over 500 units, even if it was picked over you'd think there would still be alot of fairly high quality ones mixed in the batch. Or ones with better dates, codes etc. A small premium for these may offset the bad ones of the bunch. Either way, I'm still up for two
