Some of the really rough K98's recently imported to the U.S. were reportedly from Albania. From what I have heard the bores were awful and many had other issues e.g., recoil lugs bad, split stocks, pitted metal. Many on the U.S. forums ordered them from distributors and then returned them for a refund. The pool is drying up.
