SIG P226 or P229

No. I am not going to get the 9mil. I am going to get the .22LR then purchase the 9mm conversion kit. At the end it will cost me the same, but I will have 2 calibres/guns.
So....which store has the best deal for SIG P229 .22LR?
I wish I could offer advice but you seem beyond set in your ways.
**IF NOT, then I'd say get the 9mm first and THEN decide if you want or NEED to shoot it in .22cal, you can always add the .22 cal conversion kit. Most people just keep shooting full calibre rounds. Of the people I know who have a .22 cal in the same or similar pistol - most end up never seeing much range time shooting the .22. It's just not fun once you go full calibre. (But I digress - spend your $$$$$$, it supports the site sponsors

I understand your point of view. But, if I can get 2 calibre for the same price whether I am going to use the other calibre or not, it is still a better deal to get 2 calibre than once. Don't you think? When I resell them in the future it would be more attractive package than just one calibre package.

Why don't you try looking on Questars website or any of the other site sponsors that sell Sigs (Wolverine Supplies). If the Sig is on there then you can rest assured that it's legal to own in Canada.
Personally I went with a P226 Classic 22 and am ordering the 9mm exchange kit. If you factor in shipping + extra mags then it works out to almost the same as purchasing a P226 9mm then buying the .22 exchange kit. Almost...but not exactly.
Good luck with your purchase and remember that you can't go wrong with either Sig. If you're really concerned then just grab a Glock 17 and save yourself the worry
I have the sig p226 in .22lr and love it. I don't have very big hands but i still find it fits well. I wasn't going to get a sig (was out of my price range) till i found a used one at wolverines and i loved how it felt. Thanks to Guy for the sale. I will be getting the 9mm conversion for it soon too.
