Clear? What did you paint, mall camo? (still a shame it went south)
What did you use for primer? Did you degrease it REAL good before painting?
Trick for painting in cool temp.'s Make sure the piece is really warm and so is the paint. RUN to your painting area, paint it and get it back into the warm area as fast as you can. Let each color dry really well before applying the next color. Try to keep your greasy fingers off the paint until you are done.
For now, clean the paint off with a solvent that won't react with you rifle parts. If it will pick off, pick away. Wipe it down and try again. Welcome to the learning curve.
Don't sweat it brother! It can all be fixed. pip pip cheery o and all that crap, carry on!
What kind of paint are you using by the way?
P.S. give the clear coat to your girlfriend to use on some sort of art project. Camo does not shine!
