Dlask Arms

The brakes are from Ross Schuler in Mountain Home, Idaho... we have a dozen of Ross' brakes... they are an excellent product;

Do you have them in SS? I would like two in SS to replace the ones I have, plus what Dia are those?

Yes, Ross makes Stainless Steel brakes in .813", 1.0", and 1.25"... below are a couple pics of the stainless brakes... the ones in these photos are 1.0" O.D tapered back to .865" to match the barrel diameter... I have two 1.25" SS brakes on the way that are tapered back to .920" for a pair of 10" stainless bull barrels. :)

Nice. Does Ross taper them back for the buyer or do you have to do it yourself? I was looking at one of the Chrome Moly ones to match a Dlask barrel in .920

Nice, Thanks guys. And you wonder why myself and other "newbies" never post.

The internet is a harsh place and the ribbing you got here is mild to what you would get eleswhere. You posted with a complaint based on unrealistic expectations. If you ponder a bit before posting then you can be a useful contributor who people will welcome.

Ross will taper the brake if you provide the diameter of your barrel... most 10/22 platform bull barrels are .920, the GM mid-weight is .750, Savage heavy barrels are parallel/non-tapered @ .860 - .865 (I put the calipers on before ordering)... the chrome moly brakes come only in 1" diameter... the stainless brakes come in .813", .920" and 1.25".

Fantastic brakes.
Say hoytcanon...since you've got a FV-SR, what diameter would you suggest for it?

I would go with the 1" Chrome Moly tapered back to .860"... thread pitch is 1/2" X 28 TPI. Chrome Moly takes bluing, so you can match the barrel.
