Does 9 mm Ranger SXT ever show up in Canada?

PM me if you are local to Toronto, Kitchener, Niagara area, I got good quantity of 9mm Winchester Ranger 147, and 40 cal Winchester Ranger 180, and am thinking of parting with.

Thanx Farmboy..

I don't know why, but the first time I tried to place an order for the SXT it showed up as "out of stock". On a whim I accessed the site again and was able to place an order. Once again thanx.:D

Pretty sure SXT is the new name for this stuff after the publicity it got years ago

I've found a few variations over the years. It's not all that easy to find, it's expensive, and people tend to horde it. I break out some special goodies every year for the annual pumpkin shoot at my range. That Ranger 124gr. +P stuff, it is out there I believe. You will really have to hunt to find it in Canada, but it is out there. The better way would be to go down to the U.S. and pick some up and bring it across yourself. Do your research as to the legal requirements and how much you can bring across, but people do it all the time.

I've found some Black Talon 9mm, and various kinds of fancy .40 and .45, and a buch of other stuff. Expensive hobby. I haven't been taking any pictures of this stuff in ahwile though, but I'll see if I can dig up a few more photos.

Personally I think that Ranger SXT is just a quality brand of ammo that has an expanding bullet - which is supposed to be very reliable in its expansion. It is not a super expensive "premium" round, but it is a quality round. Some people like Ranger because they heard that ____________ (fill in the name of Police Force) uses it.

The most "ummpff", by far, in a 9mm load in my experience, is anything along the lines of "Federal", "Hydrashok", "124gr.", "+P+" (there are just so many packages and different variations to pin it down exactly).

I don't like to use too many of those, particularly at one time. They recoil really hard and I don't think it is fantastic for the long-term prospects of certain firearms. My own experiments in reloading 9mm suggest to me that it would be like putting 6.5 to 7 grains of most pistol powders behind a 124gr. bullet. ("Normal" would be like 4 to 4.5 grains.) Do not try this at home kids. Following your reloading manual and do not take any advice from me!
