Experience with D&L Airgun?

I've bought rifles, pistols, and lots of parts (some not listed on the website) and never ever had an issue that would cause me to doubt them for a second. I'm thinking about doing up my 2240 in the next couple months and intend to order most of the parts from them.
 
Tried to buy from them on 3 occasions and each time the shipping costs were astronomical.
I got a shipping quote on Monday this week for a pair of scope mounts priced at under $20. They quoted me $13 and change to ship. Last week I shipped a Cased Gamo pistol , Tracked and Signed for cheaper than they want to ship the scope rings.

Pretty dissappointing really

I have ordered from them 15-20 times [shipping is the quickest I've run into-not slagging any one else] and the shipping was reasonable too.
However the no returns policy is unexceptable.
They are great to deal with otherwise...kelly
 
They have a good selection of items that I want and could use, but they don't take EMT!

That's my only problem with them and keeps me from placing an order ... :D
 
Well OK since we are getting it all out, I purchased a rifle from them after getting a quote for the price plus a $30.00 shipping and handling charge. I added a QF tuning and maintenance kit for $10.99, it fit in the same box as the rifle and probably weighed as much as the styrofoam peanuts it displaced but it added an additional $5.00 to the shipping and handling charge. Of coarse I didn't ask for a requote because I wanted the gun so badly and I would have paid the extra anyway, it just bugged me a bit though.
I will still order from them anyway, although the whole internet shopping scene is full of little suprises just in case you thought were getting a better deal.

It is not them Dave it is canada post. Once it will not fit through that slot they use which scope rings will not it is then classed as a package with a min charge normally around 12-13.00. So rings 13.00 or scope and rings still 13.00. Your beef is with canada post

That's not correct. The Gamo pistol in it's plastic hard case weighed almost 2lb's and was MUCH bigger than the slot thingy they have. It was sent to Mapl Ridge so not too far from D&L and not a distance issue.

I have sold all manner of stuff and shipped it to all corners of the planet using Canada Post and most of the time I am pleasantly surprised by there fees

I did email D&L and expressed my disappointment but have not recieved any responce.

You are not getting it my friend, two pound pistol and scope rings are both classed as a package and there is a min which is here for example around 10.00 plus tax etc.. Pretty simple to prove if D&R is screwing you just go to the canada post site and calculate the rates for each item yourself and you will see exactly what it cost them to the penny. If you have shipped all over the world with canada post then you know between provinces in canada and within one's own province is the most expensive shipping in north americia for the same weight and girth. Take care
 
Sorry about the mix-up I somehow got who I wanted to order from and who I did backwards. Must have been a case of the Fridays. I ordered from a guy back east and ended up with a huge hassle. I wish I had ordered from D&L.
