Chrome lining is for rapid fire military rifles that are exposed to moister and don't have a chance of getting cleaned often. You don't need your barrel chrome lined and that’s why they don't do it to the non-restricted 858s. Clean your barrel properly, and it will last a very long time.
I've also left my CZ 858 un-cleaned for a few days and not a sign of rust. As long as moister can't get to it, it can't rust, Sure, there is moister in the air but, because there is a layer of fowling air can't get at the metal. That’s why it’s a big mistake to spray Windex in the barrel after your done shooting. You bring it home, in a few hours you decide to clean it, and it looks like a gravel pit in their that’s how fast it will rust if it gets wet.
Be smart, clean your gun properly, and save your money instead of having it chrome lined.
I realize that cleaning your gun will keep it from rusting, but I would use it a lot more if you could treat it like an sks and throw it back behind the seat until the next time there is a coyote, badger or whatever.
