Hi folks,
Thinking of getting a Vortex Viper spotting scope, either in 15x45x60 or 20x60x80. I see they also offer a Viper HD scope as well for about $120.00 more.
My goal is to see bullet holes on paper targets at 200 yards minimum, hoping to see farther out than that, but for the price range this may not be possible.
Is anyone currently using one of these ? Any recommendations ? I was also thinking an angled scope may be easier to use ( prone position ) but a straight one may be better for bench shooting , what are your thoughts ?
Thanks for your advice,...Mike

200 yard bullet holes won't even be a challenge with the Vortex Viper XD. Simple, easy to use, reliable and best warranty in the business. The XD comes with a slip on neoprene body sleeve and easy on/off lense protectors, there is even a rail mounted if you want to mount a quick aiming reference optic or iron site on top. Not to mention some great tripods including a bench or prone model that is simple and basic to the the light weight series and the uber cool tactical stuff.
