Truglo Fibre optic sights.

Other internal parts are. Skeletonized Stainless Steel Striker, Titanium Trigger Safety Plunger, Competition Spring Kit, Zevtech V4 Race Connector.

How it shoots......one word AWESOME:D:D:D The first 4 rounds (180gn BDX over 4.6gn of Titegroup) went into one hole that looked like a four leaf clover.:D For shiggles I shot the remaining six in the magazine as fast as I could pull the trigger.......all shots within 4" from 10 meters.

I then sent a new target down to 25 meters and put all 10 rounds into 3" with slow, deliberate, aimed fire, while resting my forearms on the bench. I then decided to see how I could do without the rest. When all was said and done there were 20 holes spaced 4" edge to edge. This Glock is amazingly accurate.

The trigger work has a great deal to do with the accuracy. I'm guessing the trigger is around 2.5lbs now. Very smooth. The trigger take up feels like a gentle hydraulic piston. Very nice , short reset. I've shot with fibre optic sights before and love them.

All in all, I am very impressed with my new Glock. I can't wait to compete with it in IPSC Standard Division.

Well thanks to this thread i just came back from the store with a receipt for a gen4 17......

now off to rape and pillage glockstore hehehehehe

p.s. with gen4 dual coil setup could i still benefit from the recoil buffer?? and is there one that fits??

Hey guys.

I had a few questions I wanted to ask, but I'm in no hurry as I'm still waiting in line to do my club-level safety course. So no glock goodness till late Feb or March.

My intention is to get the barrel kit that is .22lr (found here or here) to start up and get my basic accuracy skills up and sight picture skills in place (I'm not made of money so when presented with a $300 mod that lets me put the 3K rounds down the range at a fraction of the cost I jumped at it). I realize the recoil from the .40 cal to the .22 cal is much higher, so should I consider NOT putting many of these mods in UNTIL I move up to .40 cal? I am concerned that the mechanics of the firearm will foul because there isn't ENOUGH recoil in the firearm now and because of that, that these mods will cause internal problems.

I am also afraid that with the different mods it might change enough of the shooting characteristics of the firearm that I will not destroy my earlier .22 gun handling training.

Thoughts?

P.S. Yes I do realize that those different conversion kits only work with CERTAIN models of Glock. I just can't remember what conversion kit I was shown at the counter when discussing it with the clerk.

I've really enjoyed this thread and I'm interested to see how some of the mods stand up over time so Sully I hope you'll keep updating as you get more rounds down the pipe.

To Landosen a small suggestion. In the future you may want to compete in IPSC or IDPA. A 22 conversion will not help you work on recoil control and sight recovery. I think you'll find you'll quickly out grow what it can do for you. Instead put your money into reloading gear which will serve you well for as long as you're shooting. You can get everything you need to reload for the cost of the conversion kit. My preference would be a used Dillon Square Deal press ($200 or so), if you can find one. They come with a lifetime guarantee.

Hey all. Great posting for sure.

1. Do you get dinged for duty at the border when ordering? If so how bad?
2. I want to ask about the fiber optic sites. Is this a good spot or should I start a new thread? I did not see one on it yet.

Glock 34 upgrades

I got my G34 about a year ago and have followed this thread for some time and have incorporated many of the uprades.
1) competion spring kit Zev.
2) titanium saftey
3) Ghost 3.5 connector
4) tungsten guide rod and 15lbs IMIS spring
5) ultimate trigger stop
6) titanium pins
7) stainless extended mag release Zev
8) Dawson Ice Mag well and Tru Grip / wrap around grip.
9) Storm Stainless barrell
10) skeletonized stainless striker Zev
11) Meprolight adjustable night sights.
12) Extended titanium slide bar release
13) Fulcrum stainless trigger bar with adjustable reset. I just got that. I have been to the range twice since I put it in. I have a two pound trigger pull with all the other upgrades and this thing shoots amazing. I have run out of things to buy, so I guess I am done. I am very happy and pleased with the advise from this thread.... Everyone that shoots my gun is amazed at the triiger pull and the smoothness. I guess my point is the upgrades are worth it. Plus it looks cool! I should post a few pictures. I will do that in the next few days. Thanks again for had the posts, and if anyone has any question feel free to PM me. Brad

Well I just got my first g19 and want to try and follow some of the upgrades you did timoram.

Any suggestions on the first upgrade to start with??

I am going to take my time doing this as I want to shoot it after every bit of tinkering.

I saw a used Gen 4 Glock 17 with white lettering on the slide yesterday at a store. I did a bit of research on the net and see some people like to "mod" their Glock in this way. Do any Glocks come from the factory this way? Or was the one I saw done by the previous owner?

So I have a G21 Gen 4 waiting to be picked up.

I realize that the Recoil Spring and Guide Rod won't be compatible with the new spring design, but it made me wonder, how many of these mods will work with the new Gen 4?

Any ideas?

Also, crayon goes on first. heheh.
