What the title says. My friend bought me a micrometer sight for a no4mk1*
he saw on kijiji cause he new i had a thing for enfields, so he
bought it and is sending it to me.

2 Questions,

What is the difference between the Mk1 and Mk1* ?

(I could do some research elsewhere but i figured a concentrated
group of gun nuts like myself would be a better, faster method
of finding my answers.)

Will this sight fit on my No4Mk1? It just has the 300/600 flip sight
on it.

Main difference is how the bolt is removed. The Mk1 uses a "button" located on at the rear most spot on the bolt head track, the Mk1* uses a simple notch in the track.

Other then that they are pretty much identical and pretty much all parts are interchangeable.

Some Side info, The Mk1* was primarily made in north america by LongBranch in Canada and Savage in the US. the Mk1 was primarily made in the UK.

- It will fit, if it is the typical flip-up used before and after the war. You work on the Base? Maybe your unit Wpn Techs have Enfield experience.
