Hi there! So i have this nice sniper clone bought from Westrifle a couple of weeks ago. I fire exclusively surplus ammo with it and from day 1 it does not eject spent case properly most of the time (like 8/10 don't eject). The problem is not related to a sticky bolt as it extract always easily.

I swapped the ejector with an other 91/30 i have and it seams to have helped but i still have ejection problem like 4 time out of 10.

What is your tought ??

A. This thread belongs in the Milsurp section (no worries by me though, I have made plenty of mistakes before :D )

B. How are you pulling that bolt back? Slow and gently? or like your pulling a would be rapist off your mother? Slow and gently may be ejecting but not enough energy to kick it out of the rifle. The later will force that sucker several meters from you.

A. I tought that the Mosin's was red because of the communist origin.

B. The rapist thing. No need to be gentle with this type of rifle. It still won't eject correctly.

I thought that too, but then was directed to description of this subforum. (I had several threads moved a while back.)

"Evil Baby Eaters from the Combloc and the Warsaw Pact"

Hmmm....
Lemme grab (one of) my mosin and fiddle around with it and see what I can come up with.

When in doubt check out you tube.
I have not had this problem but if there is some cosmoline residue in the bore it might be preventing ejection.
This video might help.

I had the same problem, minty mosin that was cleaned and lubed properly, and jammed every single time. It turned out to be the surplus steel cased ammo. Soon as I switched to brass it was fine.
