Blr
I have owned 3 BLR's in the past few years, including 2 BLR-81's and 1 Pistol Grip model. Be warned the Pistol Grip model and the 81 straight grip model DO NOT fit the same. I dont care what the specs say on the Browning web site the pistol grip model is alot like Browning/Winchester bolt guns with not alot of drop in the stock while the 81 feels different with a bit more drop, the 81 feels WAY better to me.
That being said all the BLR's I have owned have been awesome fit/finish wise and are capable of shooting under 2" realistically at 100 yards with factory ammo. People report groups from 1" to 1.5" also with the right optics. The triggers blow out of the box and it may be wise to sink a few bucks into getting some work done on the trigger. Other than that I would give the Browning BLR's two thumbs up, just make sure you shoulder the pistol grip and the straight grip and see which one feels better for you. I have never dealt with the takedown model so I cant comment on accurace. I love my Browning BLR Lightweight-81 in .308 Win!!!
