I have been asked for more pictures, so here they are plus a video.

Results will be posted soon on the Berger bullets site.

Over 200 shooters competed from all over the US and 4 provinces. Five days of competition ending on Sunday, one day at 600 yards to warm up and the rest at 800, 900 and 1000. As a novice at long range if you have ever considered attending a major match, do not hesitate to attend this one next year. You will meet some of the best shooters in the world who are friendly and helpful and gain a lot of experience shooting in some interesting conditions. Winds can shift in the middle of a string and the mirage is in HD.

Just the competitors on the line I could fit in a picture.

Prep time before the targets are up. The only time when the flags were hanging straight down.

There were 10 hot air baloons in the air at once. One landed 500 yards behind the range.

You were either shooting, scoring, or working the pits. Very little down time.

For those of you who have never shot at a 1000, here is sling shooter praticing today (iron sights at a 1000)

Looking over Mid's shoulder at the targets with camera on zoom to see the targets. Google Mid Tompkins if you have never heard of him.

The Berger Bullet website has posted the results of the SWLR Nationals. This is a well run event that should not be missed. The weather was great! I managed to find a couple of steakhouses that also offered cold beer.

Don't forget Ken Nelson. He also placed very well. It was a great match, along with some 25-28 degree weather. All the canadians showed very well considering most of us had not picked up a rifle since september. The Arizona desert was also a challenge, and one that i will welcome again in the coming years.
The level of competition was very high, and most guys are friendly and willing to share lots of info. It was nice to come home with some new found knowledge and some loot to boot.
The wind clinic with Larry Bartholome and Bryan litz was very informative, and always a pleasure to shoot with these guys. If anyone else gets the chance to go next year, do it.

Oops sorry, not meaning to offend. I am new to the long range stuff.

My best shots at the match were with the camera.
I think that "I'm New to long range" is getting a little old Jim. Your one of three Manitobans who practised all through the winter here. Dedicated would be a better discription.

Butch is waiting for Nationals at Camp Perry

Congrats to all the Canucks good shooting

Butch is going down to Nationals at Camp Perry to tune-up the FTR guys with his new Super-Deuce, and heard through grapevine Norm built one and is going with Butch and maybe some others.

Brian Litz will be picking Butches & Norms heads, Americans only think the 223 is good to 600

Butch won club Sierra shoot with his new rig 40 shots all bulls with 31v
on 1/2moa target
