Got my sparta!!!

So here we go!!!

Box shows up undamaged and well marked for shipping, thank you HICAL!!!!!!!!

Open the box and it is very well packaged with expanded polystyrene on both ends to prevent damage to original packaging.

Stock looks great, open it up and the upper rail is a tough looking and feeling unit. It is hard to believe the upper is not steel so I pull the magnet test and she is non ferrous indeed. Very solid feel to the rear adjustments on the rear stock for LOP and cheek rest. This is exactly what I wanted.

The 4 screws holding the upper on to the lower and very beefy, coarser thread than I imagined they would be though. I find fine threads hold tighter longer by far just a personal observation. The upper slides back into the stock and locks up before the screws can be threaded, KUDOS on that design idea for sure!!

Well I stripped my shorty Mini 4 in 6.8 spc in a couple minutes and then took the stock apart with was very simple indeed. Less than 10 minutes and I was ready to assemble her. Popped the lower heat shield in, tossed the barreled action in the stock, assembled the gas assembly again ( I took it completely off to clean it up) tossed the trigger assembly in and locked it down. Then I put the upper hand guard on and started the screws. I then noticed a small bushing from my gas system. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!! So I took the gas system apart and put the gas bushing back in place. I tossed the upper hand guard back on and tightened it up.

WTF is this useless gap on the right side??

DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!

Pull the upper hand guard off and tossed in the piece that indicated the calibre is 6.8 SPC. I then grabbed a red crayon and did the numbers up so I could actually read them Nice simple little mod I must say and white is too common for me.

All in all I am thrilled with the look of the stock, very ergonomic feeling which is nice cause I am a bit of a big gruff guy. The quality is very and I mean very good for the price tag.

I will openly admit I have the Pro Mag on my M14 as well and really love the look and feel. Screw the weight on the M14 I like it a bit heavy, no recoil now.

The Mini 14 is a winner in my books I give it s 9/10 for a review.

P.S. Pics later my camera screwed up so I had to do cell phone pics. I will rip the pics tonight and post them I promise. I took pics in process but I have no idea how good the pics are.

Here she is originally!!

I need to change the rings, they are cheapies I had just to fit the scope, the scope does touch the upper rail slightly so I will go a bit taller. Feels awesome and I like the balance. In collapsed position it is about an inch shorter LOP. Witht eh stock extended it is about 1.5 inches longer. The cheek rest adjustment I found odd but it actually works and feels good to me.

Nice. I see from your pic I will be able to leave my Mo-Rod on. Is that a screw on muzzle brake? Hoping tomorrow for mine. How about a post range report? It will be interesting to see if your present accuracy remains the same or maybe improves.

I have to also add the action does fit very snugly in place and the upper hand guard is a tight fit as well. Still very happy with the purchase and I am tempted to hit the renge this weekend since I now have 3 new guns to break in. What a terrible situation to be in........ hahaha Now to get some proper rings this week for that scope.

Muzzle break is a thread on and the barrel was chopped to 18. on mine in the pic.

What is what?

Op,
I'm really excited to see someone with this stock now, about time I should say!
Time for me to track down a mini in stainless/synthetic! :)
