G17 gen 4 and don't look back. Goes bang every single time. Best advise is to try as many different 9's as you can. Usually everyone at the range is accomodating in this regard. strike up a conversation and offer to pay for the ammo if your offered to shoot. ( I never take any $ myself, but the offer is nice)
Try all steel vs. polymer vs. 1911. Smiths, Rugers, Glocks any and everything that you can shoot before you buy will help your decision making.


And THEN buy the Glock and don't look back ............P.S. the 500 is fun as hell to shoot

^sig p229r is typically sold as restricted with a compliant 4.2 inch barrel. i have that model.
