How do you like your 8.5 dominion arms?

I had one about a year ago. It fed everything I shot through it with zero issues, including cheap Walmart Winchester Universals (which seem to not cycle properly in my 870 Wingmaster - apparently a common problem with 870's) Only reason for selling it was because I really had no use for it and only got it for the novelty. Otherwise I was happy with it and I think it was well worth the price.

Love mine:

I like mine, it's super harsh with out hearing protection. Dunno of I'll use it for grouse anymore! It's fun. I think it's more of a novelty shotgun but it's decent none the less I agree with it being more reliable than the 870 express shotgun, it ejects the low brass cheapo shells from crappy tire with no issues.

I dunno about the 8" but I just shot my 12.5" for the first time today and I love it. Rapid fire and slugs work great with no issues after 25 target loads and 5 slugs.

Build quality is very good. Good value and fun.

Cool little gun. I also have the 12" Hogue on mine, which takes it down to just-legal OAL. I got it as a novelty, and while I sure don't consider it as practical as my 14" Norinco, it feeds/fires/ejects reliably and is a ton of fun to shoot. I got tired of my Outlaw SxS short-barrel very quickly and dumped it, but the 8.5" D.A. is a keeper.

I will mention that mine came equipped with a short Picatinny rail section on the receiver. The gun was drilled correctly, but the rail itself had the holes drilled crookedly, so it sat on the receiver pointing out into left field. Drilling the rail properly and countersinking the holes was an easy DIY fix.

The hearing protection thing is worth mentioning again lol. These little guys are LOUD, especially with slugs or buck. I was shooting my 12.5 at a gravel pit a few weeks back and forgot to put the muffs back on once. I heard that telltale "eeeeeeeeee" ring in my ears for a while lol. I can imagine the 8.5 is even louder lol

It's a fun gun, and looks great. I've had a few feeding issues that I haven't taken time to figure out...I may need to strip it right down and do a little deburring.

Sometimes I wish I had gotten the 12.5" for the extra round and the ability to use full-size barrels, but I doubt I'll make the switch...

True that. I think it was at least a full day before I could hear normal again... I forgot the hearing protection the day I got it and wasn't about to drive back into town for that... haha.

Never again, not if there's no adrenaline from hunting anyway.

I remember when Timberwolfe pointed at something for me to shoot, I grabbed it, took the shot, missed, realized I had no protection on, then yelled "OH YEAH, I FORGOT, GUNS ARE LOUD!" That was a trap load, and I'm pretty sure it did almost as much permanent damage as the first ever 45 acp with no protection. I think I've only taken 4 centerfire shots with no pro, unfortunately, they've all hurt less each time, not a good sign :(

Haha glad I'm not the only one this has happened to
