S&W 4.2 fantasy question

OK, so tomorrow you log on to find an announcement that a custom gun shop is building your dream S&W revolver in a 4.2 inch model.

What caliber would you want to see?

I voted 44 mag but could have gone 454 casull as well.

41 mag just cause its one of the most underrated rounds out there. Not much mention of the ol warhorse. It certainly has the horsepower if one wants it. A nice 4.2" barrel never hindered one to my knowledge either.

44mag as well, would make a good combo for when law abiding, PAL holding civilians can get an ATC for wilderness travels

No, but with the 686 4.2's recently on the market, it didn't seem to make sense to add an available caliber.

Hmmmm.... A 10mm/.40S&W would be at the top of my list, closely followed by a .45Auto/.45Autorim.

I'd like to see S&W manufacture all its revolvers in 4.2" or maybe 5"...

you can already get a 5 inch 44 mag in the full underlug so I could not see them doing it for a full underlug. I could see the half underlug or mountain gun style would be whats sought after.

But my vote is on 45.acp 625 in any barrel configuration. as long as it makes weight for esr.
