Hey guys whats up!I was wondering who here has fitted an aftermarket barrel bushing to their Norinco 1911, for obvious reasons, including accuracy and just better all better fitment

Please chime in with what make of bushing you used, where you got it from, difficulty of installation and how much it was...and also the final results...thanks guys

Appreciate it! Look forward to your responses!

oh ya?

I checked the site and there is sooo many diff ones...can u provide the exact link of the one u used?
thanks

I bought a new EGW ( Evolution gun works ) match bushing. They stated that it would require fitting & it did. The inside needed to be opened up a little to allow barrel movement .
I cannot comment on if it improved accuracy or not because I did some other changes at the same time but it feels tighter & smoother now.

that's the thick 0.125 thou barrel bushing
here is the link (not a hot link)

I was actually going to go with an EGW national match from brownells! thanks for the input

I put an EGW angle bore bushing on my 1911. Required minimal fitting but definitely an improvement over the factory part. If you measure the OD of your barrel and the ID of your slide with a micrometer you can custom order a bushing from EGW to your specs and get it very close to fitting without any work.

No problem. The one I installed required very minimal fitting and only took a few minutes. The only potential downside would be the price. These bushings aren't cheap, but they are the very best quality. So depending on how much you paid for your Norc and what your plans are for it, it may or may not be worth it.
