How treat brass after pulling bullets?

The overall opinion (from several forums) seems to be that I need to just re-size the necks, for which I can use my collet die. If it were not a tube-feed rifle, perhaps neck tension would not be as important.
So today's task is to use the calipers to compare neck size between a freshly FL resized case and the ones from which I pulled bullets (I should have thought of that one!), but I will probably end up neck sizing anyway.

Shortcut test: seat a bullet on one of your empty brass. Measure the length, then take the round and push it point first into a piece of wood. Use moderate force. Measure again, if the round hasn't shortened (you haven't pushed the bullet in) you are good to go. Maybe not benchrest tension;) but at least you can carry on with your load development.
