Hello all. Does anyone know where I can find a Sinclair bullet comparator or even the Sinclair hex nut comparators? I live in northern Sk, so I have very limited access to gun shops. I'm hoping someone will save me a bunch of Internet surfing or phoning and point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Make sure they ship USPS and not UPS. UPS seems to guarantee that you will be charged a brokerage fee. I have had far better luck with the post office.

I have one of the hex comparators and wouldn't recommend it. it is awkward to use and very difficult to get it to sit properly on the micrometer.

Look into either the hornady lock and load or sinclair items that go onto the micrometer ends instead.

All up to you of course just figured I'd let you know before you decide to spend the $$

Agree 100% I have one of the hex comparitors from Sinclair and found them to be very difficult to get consistent readings. Maybe with more practice it would get better but I ended up getting a Hornady comparitor that attaches to the caliper and found it much more user friendly.

I use my Sinclair comparator all the time. I love it. Simple to use, no moving parts to wear out. I find it to be somewhat like using feeler gauges, it requires a little bit of "feel" to get an accurate measurement. I use mine with a digi caliper, zero out on the width of the gauge, then measure to the case head.

YMMV

Cheers, YC

I used my Sinclair hex comparator for years, but when I started measuring large numbers of bullets I switched to the Hornady system, it was easier to fit on my Mic and easier to use

A word of warning, they are not spec'd the same and if you measure the same bullet or loaded round they will give you a different number, this is important if you are trying to recreate a load you set up with the sinclair Hex comparator and switch to another system, in my hands the difference was close to 15 thou

Would this be why my Forster Go guage doesn't measure correctly with the Hornady headspace attachment in the tool? Anyone else noticed that?

A good word of advice is to jump on the USPS website to see exactly what rate differences each one of their shipping options at sinclairs entails before selecting. I learned that one the hard way having some stuff accidentally sent via air-mail for a premium price :).
