My Valentine's day present

Last week my GF gave me my "late" valentine's day present: A package arrived from south Africa with my name on it. And it has some red on it :D

I started to play with it and tried to set it up for my pistol. I don't think the holster is set up correctly yet, I might have to file down one of the provided shim for the trigger guard to fit correctly in there. The P226 trigger guard is thick... If I decide to change my pistol down the road this setup provides flexibility!

Do I even need 5 mag pouches? I'll be good and set up for my upcoming BB course... Maybe overgeared for a n00b...

The only thing I can say is that this one is a keeper. Get a ring on her finger man! :D
 
4 mag pouches and 1 in the back pocket to put in the gun is plenty, a spare in your back pocket or get a magnet and you are good to go.
 
To OP - great setup!!! Double Alpha belts are a little thicker and it's not a good thing.
CR pouches can and are used by Standard and Open shooters with same great results too.
But you will eventually ditch your 226 due to ergonomics, reliability, sights etc.


He already has 5 pouches, there is one still in plactic bag in the center of the pic....

You do need 4 as bare minimum, 5 is just what everyone has AND USES.
If you are to shoot USPSA Prod - that holster is not legal thou.
