Wolverine Sale Pictures Thread

Doubt it ha! But it would make sense, dry air. My rifle had never been cleaned or oiled since purchased, and it was full of gritty similar colored crap to this. Maybe I'm on glue but I know my gun never saw sand.

The Peruvian M1891 I picked up, as received.

The bolt is mis-matched, but that is apparently the norm with these peruvians as they didn't bother to keep the bolts matched when they were refurbished with Lange sights. Gun is VERY dirty. A fair bit of rust under the handguard, but nothing that will be an issue. Bore is like new. Cleaning rod bent up bad, I'll have to fix it. Some cracking in the toe of the stock I'll glue before it gets worse.

In all though, not a bad find with a nice intact crest. Should clean up well and shoot well also.

Well look very decent, a good cleaning and some oil would make it quite nice.:)

Added to the list of ailments, a very bent trigger which I've now straightened without breaking it (thankfully), and a broken wire tie-down on the handguard I'll have to replace. It will still clean up well, but this gun is turning into more of a restoration than a simple wipe-down... ;)

One day il be able to annoy my wife with an over abundant collection of very fine milsurp rifles just as you my friends have been doing for countless years
