M4(teen) Canadian zombie hunter max

I've had a few questions by email that I'll answer here.

M14S-CQB stock weight without grip, buttstock and rails , 1lbs 12oz. The model I have here with full bottom rail, hogue grip and commercial 6pos buttstock, 3 lbs flat.

YES the stock is compatable with ALL availlable aluminum railed handguards, with no modifications to stock or handguard unit required. Have tested with KAC RAS, Ultimak M8, UTG tr rail, Troy battle rail and the amega ranges handguard and scout mount.

The stock accepts milspec and commercial buttstocks.

YES, a side folder is in the works and destructive testing is underway ;)

Looks nice T, did you work some loads for it yet? I hope your range report will be coming soon. Glad to see you had some use for the spare parts. M

Wolfface can you get your scope to "quick detach" with those rings mounted with the levers on the left side of the Arms 18 like that?

I have the same rings and I found I had to mount them with the levers on the bolt handle side which has caused me to have some ejection issues from brass hits.

They are Leupold Quick detach. They have a cool feature, you can pull the arm out and the will "free wheel" to what ever position you want, then pop into place and continue to loosen.

Yep...those are the same Leupold QD ones I have. Perhaps when I initially setup my scope I didnt account for the "free wheelin". I will try mounting it the other way again.

Do you find that your scope retains zero if you take it off and put it back on with those rings?

Ya, when you pull it out it will clear the scope mount, then pop it in and get another 180.

I haven't tried the taking it on and off and chrcking the zero yet, I will let you know the next time I get to the range.

FYI.... The M14S-CQB M14 stock pre-order has 7 spots (out of 20) remaining. See the following link for details ;)
