Um... no. The StG 44 was never produced in 7.62X39 caliber. It was only ever chambered for the 7.92x33 Kurz, which is a 7.92x57 that is 24mm shorter. Why would the Nazis, who saw all of slavic descent as an inferior race, on par with the jews, use anything designed or developed by the Russians? It just doesn't make sense.
Now, back to topic, I would love to buy one of these guns! I'm far to poor to get a real StG44, so a .22 will have to suffice. Plus, it seems like a fairly faithful representation of the real thing.
