I am probably going to start a project build of an AR this year (already have one in the safe - why not build the second heh).

That said, I am looking for recommendations for a good deal on a stripped lower. As I understand it, as long as the lower is mil-spec and forged or billet, then it should be good to go. I have seen stag/RRA/spikes lowers for around $200.00, but was wondering if there are better deals to be had?

I also like the look of the mega stripped lowers, but can't seem to find them anywhere so I have no idea who carries them or what they would cost in canada.

Thanks!

Blueline Lowers are $159 as well.

I have no use for a stripped lower.......yet....... but deals are deals.

You'll be served well by either one.

"Best Deal" or "Lowest price"? They're both very different concepts.

Lowest price - The PSA forged lower is like any other forged lower (in design).. and the price is pretty fantastic. I'm pretty hyped about seeing stuff like this; the AR crowd in Canada is finally getting its just desserts. AR prices are finally coming down where they realistically should be. $100 at SGW is hard to beat. Aside from SGW, forged lowers in Canada are anywhere between $149-$205. So you have about a $100 buffer if you look hard.

Best deal - Our lowers are Billet, not forged. With flared magwell, aggressive magwell texturing and integral trigger guard. Ours are $169 (which is still cheaper than most 'forged' lowers). Most billet lowers are $300+ even in the US. In Canada for billet there's ATRS at $635 (with parts kit) or CADEX which has recently gone up to $630 for a stripped lower. So we're $400+ cheaper than the competition.

That's a pretty good "deal". ;)

If bottom line price is what you're after then the PSA lower or the lowers from Blueline are a great price. And as long as more people are buying AR's in Canada, we'll all continue to see better pricing all around. There's finally some true competition in the market today and that will mean better pricing and a greater range of product for the consumer. Win/win for everyone.

I picked up 2 PSA lowers for $109, noway would I pay $150. Just wanted to add more AR's to the list :)

$150-$200+ for forged or $170 for Billet, that is a no brainer.

Pricing for NEA.
Stated above the NEA Billet Lower is $169 (@SFRC) SFRC actually shows them as $175. It is listed as $179 on the NEA website.
I always saw them as $179. Price change?

So thats why the SGW ones sold out so fast:p

Arms East had $149 lowers on their webstore for a Looooong time. (and Kodiak)

SGW sold out in days priced at $109.

We can see what price point we want to pay.

It is up to the retailer, sell them all quick or have them sit on the shelf.

Questar made the right choice last year. They lowered the price of P-MAgs enough that we just snap the up by the hundreds.

Sell a few or Sell Lots.
