I was shooting a Norinco 1911 commander 45 all last year '3 gun shoot" I liked the hitting power and the accuarcey...Great gun. I am recovering from a shoulder and neck injury .." motorcycle incident"..and I found after shooting multiple rounds from the 45, that my neck hurt really bad. I tried a 38, and a 9mm and for now,..I'm thinking that this is the way to go. I can blast my 22cal m-93 all day with no problems. So.. the 45 went to a good buddy. I kinda like the NP-34 by Norinco. "sig p22x copy" They are $349.00 same as the 1911. If you own np-34,..chime in and tell me..good or bad...accurate..do you like it ?? Thank you.

UPDATE- well I bought the new model. Functioned well. No ftf or fte but man was it INACURATE. Tried everything....could not get the gun to shoot straight. 8x8 targets at 25 yards..forget it.!

Go for it. I have a NP-34 as well as three SIG P-228s, the pistol that the NP-34 is cloned after. If you can get a newer version of the NP-34, they are better in the fit and finish department. I find the Norinco to be as accurate as the SIG's. Only issue is the grips on the NP-34 are not that good, solved that with a set of SIG grips.

If you can find one go for it! As mentioned above the grips are cheap plastic but the gun itself functions great. Even the trigger is good out of the box.

Newer version...?? how can you tell.?

I'm also thinking about buying a Norinco SIG clone. But in Many threads people talking about Norinco Pistols in a bad way. "Crap, bad Triggers, poor finish, etc..." are redundant words to describe Norinco clones...

Are they so bad???

I have one, I like the (small) size of it a lot! Great value for the money. I've owned 5 Sigs and finish is not the same, but acceptable for what you pay. Accuracy is pretty decent and trigger is alright esp in SA. Haven't shot it that much but didn't have any issues with it. One thing I would like to do is replace the grips as the plastic ones it comes with are pretty cheap.

pulled the pin

I decided to pre pay and have one ordered in. He says they will be here in about 4 weeks. Thats allright by me. Sounds like the right gun for me. Thanks guys for the replys.

I'm happy with my SIG clone. The finish is not great, and the grips are nothing to write home about however the function if flawless and that's all that really matters to me. So far its got 800 rounds through it without any feeding, firing or ejection problems. Even if I had my time back I would still buy the Norinco and I intend to add a CZ clone to the safe sometime in the summer. I'm too new to handgun shooting to say what makes a good trigger, but as long as your not expecting a wall hanger you can't go wrong.

Where did you pre order your NP34 from I am looking for one as well and 4 weeks is definately a shorter wait than I am hearing !!!
