Just about the only agreeable tax there could ever be.
Well, not entirely. There shouldn't be a tax at all... But, if the Gov is gonna put me over the barrel anyway..... Can I at least have a suppressor?
Kev, what can are you using? For the life of me I can't seem to get the 300 to go below 130 dB.
Long cans will do it but the entire point of a short barreled carbine is shot to hell if you have to stick a long can on it. So far the 300 is proving to be more difficult to suppress than the 45 ACP.

Can we own suppressors, full auto guns, full capacity magazines, or carry to defend ourselves?? I didn't think so. The amount of freedom in the US has definitely suffered since its inception, but its a lot more liberated than this nation.

According to M3 the SDN-6 meters at 130 dB with that ammo. A longer can would gain you 4-5 dB better sound reduction.
The best I have been able to do with a can roughly the size of the SDN-6 is 131 dB but that can be highly variable on ammo and powder choice. Unfortunately I don't have access to factory Rem ammo.
To give you a reference point, the MP5-SD ran in the low 130's pushing a bullet almost half the weight. The BLK offers a ton more range and hitting power in a quieter package.
