NOOB question about ammo.....

So I want to join the service rifle match. Now have to load the ammo for it.

I used 75 gr hornady for long rang and 55 gr Hornady FMJ for everything else.

Which one should I use for SR?

Sounds to me like you have got it right. Use the 75 for long range and save the 55 for cqb or drills etc.
 
I would recommend against playing mix and match with ammo at comps. First the POI often varies between ammunition. Second at some point you will mix up mags and step on your ####.

With all the costs required to get you to a comp the last place I would cheap out is bullets.

That said for CQB and 100m positional shooting practice 55gr is good to go.
 
75s shoot well in close as well as long range. If your plinking 55s are great but like GL said don't mix during a competition. One less thing to think about.
