I haven't signed up yet but am almost there for all 5 days. Question for you guys in the area. What hotel would you suggest and how far from the range is it?
Also considering the drive I would love to tack on a few days of CZ specific training. If this could be accommodated I would be interested
And for any of you on the fence, I was in Abbotsford last year with Paul and he is the real deal. I was there for the rifle but the few things I took away for my pistol were gems.
Is there still room in either of the pistol courses? I'm going to try to book the time off work this week. I'm just getting into handguns, so will be the resident noob at the course. Hopefully I'll have built up an adequate skill base by then.
I'll probably only be able to afford one of the courses. Which one would you guys recommend to a rookie handgunner?
great, thanks guys. we work 7 days a week when we're busy, which is usually. no idea what June looks like though i'll book the time off when i get back to work tomorrow, just to be safe.![]()
FlyingHigh,
If you want to get some trigger time in before the courses, join us at the Wapiti Shooter's Club on the first and third Wednesday of the month for Defensive Pistol night. 7pm start. Pistol, 3 or more mags, strong side holster and ammo is all you need. We're shooting this Wed. If you have time to drop by and just check it out. We usually shoot until 9:30 - 10pm in the indoor range and then hang out and BS for an hour afterwards.
PM me if you want more details.
I will "hopefully" be attending at least the first aid part... I am actually excited about that, new knowledge is good knowledge.
for hotels we usually stay downtown at the best canadian motor inn... I like "motels" where you have direct access to your room from your vehicle so your not wheeling all your stuff by the front desk.
It's Peace River. Nobody cares unless your trunk is leaking hooker blood.
Not planning on shooting?
Steve ill try and pass this info on to the agencies in High Prairie if I can. More is always better.

Anyone interested in a VZ specific course?
