Hi all, I'm new to center fire and reloading, but reading and paying attention to this site.
So, in discussion with a friend, he pointed out that all one had to do was re-size the neck, while I stated that, no, if the reload was done from a bolt action rifle, and all shots fired from that rifle, OK, but from my rifle a .308(M305) semi auto, all reloads should be re-sized.
Thanks for the input and love the info.
Cheers

I would Full Length size all reloads for an M1/M14 action. Neck sizing when you want to would usually be more suited to bolts, singles shots and other manual operated actions that will tolerate it.

It can be done and some do but, you are increasing the odds of an out of battery firing in the M1/M14 with necks sized reloads.
