AR-15 magazine choices....what's hot and what's not?

Which mags do you buy and why? Which to avoid? I have 4 LAR mags coming from Questar, but what about all the 5 round mags available? Is there a reason I'd want neutered to 5 round mags that I'm missing? TIA

D&H aluminum mags are about 20$ and pmags can be found for about the same... cant go wrong with either one.

MAGPUL,MAGPUL,MAGPUL, PMAGs are bomb proof,check out some of the youtube videos on them.

5-30 and 5-20,which are a handy size. And they come in colours.

Norc mags are NOT THE BOMB! Sorry to easy. Pmags are my favorite 5 rounders.

30 round length mags tend to fit mag pouches we and stay retrievable. LARs get swallowed in stardard mag pouches.

30 round length is perfect for mono-poding from prone.

If you shoot courses of fire that require 5 round limits, 5 round mags are easier to load from stripper clips. No think, just push in rounds till the follower stops.

got 5 d&h mags just becasue i didnt know i could buy the pmags for the same price (questar 6 packs)

With that being said i dont think i will be using them much, id much rather use the 10 rounders for faster money burning.

If capacity was not an issue, I would never even think of using anything other then Pmags.

Since it is, I have a few Pmags, and the rest are LAR magazines.

thier bad ass and i think questar has then 6 for around 100 bucks. at least i think i got mine from questar cant remember now. but they feed very nicely and are durable.
