What Spare Parts do You Carry for Your 1911?

I came across a list of 10 essential spare parts for a 1911 on the Wilson website. I currently carry none of them in my range bag. On ocation, when travelling any distance to a match, I have brought a back-up gun just so my trip woudlnt be a waste if something goes wrong.

I am wondering, out of this list, what would you say are most important? Less important? Unnecessary? Thanks for your input.

Extractor
Firing pin spring
Recoil spring
Pin sets
grip screws
firing pin
firing pin stop
recoil spring plug
magazine catch
shok-buffs
 
The most important is being on good terms with the other shooter who does have all these things and more!

Other than that, an extractor is the most common failure I've seen.
 
These days I carry a minimum of spare parts, because during a match a firearm breakdown and repair can take your concentration away from where it is supposed to be. The repair could be time consuming and this won't impress the group your shooting with as you are eating up valuable time. It is far easier to just carry a backup gun of the same type. Unload your broken firearm, head back to the safety area and just change guns. Then your back in the game without getting either yourself frustrated or your group pissed off.

When you think about how much money you spend over the years competing, gas, food, entry fees, motel rooms a spare identical 1911 is not a big investment.
 
If maintenance is being performed, most of that list can be eliminated. If you are a competitor, carry more parts than you need, anything to keep you in the race.

Wilson sells parts, most of that list I would say is non-essential, especially if maintenance is being done on a regular basis.

Parts I would include in a range bag...
~ Extractor...pre-fitted
~ Recoil Spring Plug...in case you launch yours
 
recoil spring plug, shock buffs? I have everything else and a gun. I have an extra aftec aswells as spare springs and caps. if you have a fiberoptic sight then spare fiber and a lighter is a must

Slide stop

I "used to" (but don't anymore due to both laziness and improved parts quality) run "match parts" and "practice parts" for the above 3 (ie: switch out the above 3 one practice session before the match, then put the practice parts back in after the match).

Extractor and slide stop represent perhaps 90% of failures in a tuned properly running 1911.
