Shorten PAL Approval Times

In Ontario your application is then further reviewed by the CFO. Depending on how busy they claim they are, and your personal circumstances, this processes can take anywhere from a few hours, to several weeks. My application was approved within about 3 hours of the last completed interview.

Depending on your province YMMV.

A guess: I guess that Vancouvergunnut is from BC. Am I right? :D
 
uberkermit: yeah, I've faxed it in 3 times.. on the 10th, the 16th then again yesterday.. suggested to me by who I was talking to on the phone and still nothing yet.. maybe I'm blacklisted
 
Application received on Feb 2nd. All 3 phone interviews conducted on Feb 27th. As of Feb 29th, no change on the website.....But, when I checked, just after midnight, on March 1st.... My RPAL has been issued!! Exactly the 28 day waiting period!!

Edit: I'm in BC....

mine was received feb 3rd, so im really hoping midnight tonight mine is approved!

Website stated approved last Tuesday,.....Ontario CFO stated they print every Thursday. I received in mail today (Thursday)........so 5 business days.........was impressed as the whole process for me and my wife (received hers today too) was quick and fairly easy.

Hrm... damn, must go faster for a PAL to RPAL upgrade?

Mine stated issued on the 20th (the Monday) and I'm still waiting... perhaps tomorrow will be my day of celebration...
 
Congrats Van; glad your worries are now appeased!

Good news from my end; as I suspected my license was received today!! time to celebrate with a few purchases ;)

here is my timeline for those who are interested...

PAL/RPAL courses completed- Nov 12
...ended up waiting for the test results as I didn't know I could sent in app before hand...
app sent via registered mail- Jan 20
app received in NB - Jan 23
app showed up online - January 27
interview of me and one reference - Feb 7
second reference (due to missed call) - Feb 8
licensed issued- Feb 20
licensed received in mail- Mar 3

patients seems to be a virtue in this process... good luck to all those who are mid-process/just starting!
