Shorten PAL Approval Times

I've been waiting since December 2nd. My app is back at CFO Ontario for final blessings, and has been escalated to a supervisor. This has been a long wait for sure. I call every couple of weeks for a status update. Maybe this is part of "the test" lol
 
Thank-you for the tips. IIt's been 32 days since they recieved my palication. I gave them a call and they informed me that they haven't been able to get intouch with my refferances and due to the fact that they do not identify themselves on thier answering machine, the CFC will not leave a message. They did my interview on the spot and my reff's called in the next day. The day after I called back and they informed me that my app has been sent to my provincial CFO for final approval. I have not been able to find a number to contact the CFO to check on the status.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the Provincial CFO to approve and get back to the CFC?

Thanks again for the tips. Had I not found this thred I'd still be waiting for the cfc to get around to sending me a letter about contacting my refferences.

Call the CFO and ask them the status of your application. I did that and she approved mine in like 5 minutes, and saw the status change online to issued in the next 10 minutes. Mind you i'm still waiting for mine in the mail.

The extensions for each CFO are listed. Just call the regular 1800 CFC number and enter the ext when its asks.
 
Well.. I've had the most bonehead move of my life with this.. I faxed my results in 4 times with no avail and turns out my new multi function printer differs from my old one in that I was faxing my results in backwards so they've been getting blank faxes from me.. Probably thought I was pranking them DUH!!!!!!!!

they received my app on wednesday...now the waiting game begins

is it online yet? nope...wait five minutes, check again...nope, dammit :p ah well, I'm going to Utah for a few days next week, that'll help pass the time.
 
big thanks to this thread! it took exactly 28 days for my RPAL to be issued. i phoned them about 2 weeks after the website said they received it to verify there weren't any problems. i phoned them again at the end of week 3 and requested my interview and then shortly after they called my references and that was it!

Jan 26/2012: RPAL application marked as received by CFC - sent registered mail without test results attached.

Feb 20/2012: Sent PAL/RPAL test results

March 5/2012: Called in to check status, did my interview, had my two witnesses call in. Done.

March 12/2012: RPAL in hand.
 
today March 12th, my RPAL came in the mail! Finally its over.

Sent Feb 3rd, received march 12th. 38 days in total, not too shabby
 
Just phoned in and completed my interviews.

Now my references just have to phone in.

I understand that I call the normal number for the Alberta CFO but what options would I hit?

I just experienced the same timeline:

Feb 23: PAL exam completed
Feb 24: Mailed application
Feb 27: Application received
Mar 13: Application online

Still waiting on my stamped grades to fax them in.

March 2(or thereabouts)-Showed up online
March 12-Completed my interview
March 13- both my references called in and completed theirs.

Now I just need to phone the Alberta CFO on Thursday as that will be my 28th day. Anyone know what extension the Alberta CFO is?

I finally started the transfer on my M&P 9mm, CANT WAIT!!!

EDIT: whoops, i just realized it doesn't actually show the alberta CFO ext. on there. Weird.
