Shorten PAL Approval Times

I got my interview , so did both my references this morning ! :D Now ! how long shall I expect to wait to get my RPAL ?

They received my application on February 06 2012

Well since your 28 day mark is up, I'd call your CFO and ask if they can review it. He/She will likely say yes which will lead to them approving it on the spot, assuming there is no issues with your application.
 
Yipeeee application approved. Here's the timeline for my fellow lurkers seeking for info.

Sent express mail (registered) on Feb 8th

Received in miramichi on Feb 10th
appeared online after two weeks

Called and checked on status on March5th
Informed to call given number to do interviews

Called along with references on March6th

Checked status again on March13th
was informed app with the CFO, Called CFO in another hour was informed its approved.

Awesome.

Haha so I called in to do my interview since the application showed up online today and I was told to call back in a couple days after they've scanned my picture into the system. I guess I jumped the gun there (no pun intended).

feb 13: received by cfc
mar 9: call in for my interview and one reference's interview
mar 13: my last reference called in and did interview
mar 13: license issued

Had 2012 not been a Leap year, you would have gotten it done in exactly 28 days..... Congrats
 
My app just showed up online showing as received on Feb 27th. It says it will take a minimum of 45 days to process! Not 28. Hopefully I get my test results back from the CFO soon.
 
So its been exactly 3 months since my application was received, and its still "In progress". I did my interview, and my two references did theirs as well, that was 2 months ago. I called the office and they said its with the Ontario CFO, that was 3 weeks ago. Going to call again tomorrow, but this is just ridiculous, its over twice the 45 day estimate.

call and ask to be transferred to the ontario CFO, or dial the extension. I have a feeling if you dont have a criminal record or anything, they should approve it on the spot. your app probably just got lost in some paper stack somewhere.

You might have been unlucky and caught in a backlog. But call your CFO

28 days start on the 27th of Feb (date received.)
They "offer" you the 45 days bitter pill so that you're happy to get it done in 44 days (or less.)
 
Safety results have arrived (Ontario)! It has been since Feb 5th when I passed my exam.

Current timeline:

Feb 5: Passed non-rest and restricted exams
Feb 9: Sent application
Feb 13: Arrived at CFC
Feb 28: App appears online, starts at arrival date of 13th
March 14: Safety results arrive

Going to get my mom to fax the results tomorrow (her work has a fax machine).... any important notes I should write down when I fax it or is all the info they need on the form.

Include your application number from the online status, just to be super clear. That's what I'm gonna do.
 
Update from Feb 27 posting, just got off the phone with Miramichi. They haven't listed the application yet and can't even tell me if they received it!
Kinda CONFUSED about one comment from them, I know about the 28 day waiting period but she was telling me it can take up to 60 days to process. Does anyone know the process well enough to tell me?
I filed for an NRPAL and I live in Ontario.
