I have a proposition

I have read all your posts and I think you should consider councilling for your ###ual addiction. This is a firearms site and I for one, would appreciate if you kept your innuendos to yourself. Possibly you should check out Playboy or Hustler sites, where your comments would be more appropriate.
Anyone else feel this way?

:agree:

Well I declare myself a candidate for this, unless I get a new job by then, and with C-FBMI's blessing of course. I think it would be great with a couple guys though, lets do this!

That'd be me as well. Heck, I object to all the half-naked girls on the gun jokes page, but since I can't change that, I just skip over them.

anchor3593, Please see post 116. The range is 15 mins from my house. I have all the above mentioned needs, tools, screwdrivers, allen keys, steel rod, all as part of my normal range kit. I have been a hobby gunsmith for more than 35 years, my scopes are all mounted correctly and diagnosis of issues will be part of it and maybe bedding a few rifles.
Please don't take this post to mean I am helpless and need guidance to work up loads and solve gun and bedding or scope issues, nothing could be further from the truth, I just don't have the time or ambition any more to do the range work.

Okay - great - so the range guys can focus on pulling triggers - compiling data and bringing it home to Poppa Bear. Any issues are noted and returned to you - opinions optional. If an adjustment is made at home - should the guys on the bench have that info for the following shoot?

You got it, always interested in opinions but have been at this a long time and can probably sort out issues. Hey that's what the evenings are for discussion, repair, bedding, and more discussion. This is supposed to be a fun deal not an ordeal.

As i said before I don't think I can make it up there in the near future but if you ever get the time why don't you come down to the BC coast and we can go do some bear hunting c-fbmi?

He heh - just saw this & read it end to end - very cool offer, especially for someone who loves the outdoors - not everyday that one gets a chance to head up to the Yukon...

Have you put your team together yet? - I'm watching this with interest!

Calibers range from .204 and 22 hornet to 50 BMG. Have Rems, Sakos, Rugers, Wins, BSA, Steyr and more also have 48 vintage Win levers to sight in. I have lots of powders as does the local shop and probably 10,000 bullets.
None need to make 1/4 moa just no point in asking someone to work up loads if they can only shoot 3 moa. The only one I expect something close to 1/4 moa is 22-284 in 28" heavy SS on Sorensen trued 700 SA, with all weighed and neck turned Win brass and berger and sierra match bullets in 80-90 gn. The 204 looks like it might do 1/2 moa with some work as do a couple of the 243s and the 22-250 HB

Cals off the top of my head are as follows;

204
22 Hornet
22-250
22-284
3 X 243 Win
6mm-284
250-3000
2 X 260 Rem
6.5X55
264 WM
7mm-08
7mm RM
7mm RUM
308 Win X 2or3
300 WSM
300 Win
300Wby
300 RUM
340 Wby
358 Win
375 H+H
44 Rem mag
45-110 Sharps
50 BMG

Old levers, several in most cals

218 Bee
25-20
25-35
30-30
30-40 Krag
30-03
30-06
303 Brit
32-20
32 spl
32-40
33 Win
348
35 Win
38-40
38-55
38-56
38-72
40-65
40-72
40-82
405
44-40
45-60
45-70
45-90

I'm working on several builds as well in 9.3 X 68 Imp, 416 Ruger, 9.3 X 405 and possibly chamber out 1-300 Win to 300 RUM with Wby radiused shoulder.

I have several chronographs as well, and all necessary shooting equipment.
I also have dies for all listed above, including old levers. Levers are all iron sights and the modern bolts are all glass.

You Know - i was going to come up and do this deal ! I was all packed and ready to go - Then i went over the "cartridge list " and i'm BUMMED OUT ! WTF ? No 222 or 223 rem -6mm rem -284 win - 280 rem - 280 ai and 338 Fed I can't possibly do it ! - the deals OFF ! Sorry a man has his Cartridges ! RJ

Did I mention the 8 person hot tub and sauna for those weary shoulders at the end of a long days shooting. Mens bathing attire mandatory ladies optional.;)Laugh2

Also if you are the quiet book type I have a huge library devoted to firearms and hunting books with a focus on sheep and African hunting.

Well I'm terribly sorry to hear this if it's any consolation I do have a 280 but have had loads for years for it and I also have (don't ask me why) a 7X64mm in a CZ FS, I cover 2 others in one......6mm-284 and I do have a 358 win is that close enough to the 338 fed? The 22 cals, well just have no need considering what I do have, you could always try to get 222 ballistics from the hornet, that might be fun!!

Cut me some slack, have you ever fired a 33, 35 or 405 win or a 40-82 or 45-90 how about a 30-03, don't these at least make up some of my shortcommings?

I guess I didn't word this correctly, the calibers listed are the ones I need loads for, not a full list of calibers owned, I have many many more that I've already got loads worked up for.

Also need to add a .416 Rigby in a 602 Brno I found in my gun room today that I forgot I owned.

This thread amuses me... Why?... I am an engineer... I have been hired previously to do work for guys like c-fbmi ... I can tell you something I learned from experience... The one thing these guys do best is tell it like it is... This is a genuine opportunity for someone... If I reloaded and didn't have wife and 2 kids I would be on it like a fat kid on a smartie...

All he wants in the end is a premium load for each of his rifles... To him it's worth the cash...

Frankly speaking, anyone who can do this and doesn't, needs their head read... This is a truly nothing to lose proposition...

If ANYONE doesn't think this would be a great experience they should read c-fbmi's posts... Aside from the money and property this is a fella who is passionate about hunting and nature... It's a shame that some don't recognize that...

Christ, will you adopt me?

I have one very hard working friend who has all the money for toys, but working 25 on 5 off means zero time to ever shoot the things.

Myself I have a moderate amount of free time, but lack the money for the serious toys!

C-fbmi What do you do for a living?
Are you self employed?
If yes,what type of business?
To afford the toys you have mentioned....?
I am not the greatest shooter,or experienced in loading, but some things often seem too good to be true....agreed?
Sorry if I offended,it was not my intention :)

Just figured I'd chime in to address the doubters. C-FBMI calls it as it is and has what he says he has. And I'm guessing if someone jumped on this he'd go all out to show off and make sure you had a great time...even though you wouldn't ever hear him admit to it :p

I am thinking that most guys would have difficulty getting - um - clearance from the control tower - and others would be thinking about spending their two weeks somewhere other than in a little town up yonder. Unemployed guys lack money - employed guys lack free time. Young guys might lack the experience and old guys might lack the eyes - and that bum shoulder...

Myself - I kinda think it would/will be something different - than sitting on a beach wondering why I didn't bring a bobcat so I could play in the sand. Different than sitting on a mall bench wondering why they don't have stores for men in malls - I guess it says a lot about who spends money nowadays - what was I talking about anyways?

Occasionally it is alright to do something different - like when a buddy drops in and wants a hand getting his rig outa the swamp or help butcher or split firewood - it don't have to be painless or scarless - tales will be told.
