Tactifool Hunting Rifle - Taking Tactical To Far

The closest I have to anything tactical though is

Nice! .......... With that 10 shot mag and bayonet, I'm sure it would do short work on hoards of shuffling zombies. ;)

.

interesting, is there a reason you wouldn't want that?

Nevermind, I'll start a new thread in Hunting about that one.

Kevan: :p jerk!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.... just sold a BRNO with double set triggers.
They worked ok but were certainly something a fellow would have to get accustomed to... :)

Link? Or are you making s**t up?

x2!!!

Its quite often...at my club at least...the old guys who are "too old and sore" to help clean up and are self entitled as they have been a member longer then anyone else so they are above cleaning. Along with the I only shoot shotguns or ____ so that mess is not mine!!!

I also love the guys the dump out trash cans for 3 pieces of brass but leave half the garbage on the ground after.

AND the guys that pick up my brass 30secs after it came out my gun cause they didn't think I wanted it!!! Sorry I did not inform you NOT to steal my #### before I went to change targets.

I have always wanted a pistola grip hunting rifle. For carring a rifle at the ready nothing is better than a pistol grip. I was going to buy the Howa Axiom but did not quite like it. This Rem might be just right although the pistol grip, placement and shape of the trigger seems a little off for me.

Will probably wait and pick the stock up on the EE

The Jungle Carbine is like quite a number of other firearms I've had and:redface: the one pictured is my 4th. Again, as with other guns, about 10 minutes after I part with one, I start kicking my butt and look for another. Oh well;), it's been fun:p.

If a "tactical" gun such as an AR15 or AK-47 is good enough to be carried into war and used for months on end and used for killing people...why is it not good enough to be used for a week or two to shoot a deer within a few 100 yards in the woods?

Please don't tell me .223Rem is small for deer...not my point here.

I must be making #### up, the particular thread I'm thinking must have either been in Off Topic or nuked. It was started by the guy pissed off that he got #### for shooting up stuff at the range, followed up with how he's never had to clean anything. There's been several threads like that and for the life of me I can't find it with the search function.

Mall ninja.

Did you actually read the thread?

He did....you guys complain about how a gun looks and are extremely elitist about what is a "true" gun in your minds ...what matters about a gun is how it WORKS!!!

They make this stuff because it SELLS...people like it

And people like it because it works for them. :)

My posts to the thread weren't "complaining about how a gun looks", but rather what looks appeal to my eye. And also, I wasn't being "extremely elitist about what is a 'true' gun in my mind" but rather what I like in the appearance of a gun.

Damn! I wish I would have seen this one before I bubba'd mine. That was exactly the idea I had in mind about two months ago! Maybe I still might order one.

If it shoots, who gives a fiddler's f**K as to how it looks!

I think if a CO saw a flashlight on your hunting rifle he would charge you with unfare chase. Meaning, you're blinding your game with the flashlight. If you ever have to track a blood trail with a flash light it would be cause you shot your game animal close to dusk and it got to dark for you to see the blood trail. What ever happend to just a regular good old hand held flashlight?

Especially since you would need said light AFTER legal hunting hours which means gun must be stored in its case.....unless the world falls apart and the dead walk the earth.....:)
Or you move out of Ontario.

The biggest problem I see with the rifle in the original post (besides being ugly - and I like black rifles) is the amount of drop in the stock. The recoil will drive
the stock straight into the shooter's face.

Given the high cost that goes into producing a rifle design I'd hazard to guess Remington would have spent some time at the range testing it.

Also IIRC pistol grip firearms are meant to be shot elbow down, shooting them elbow level will generally produce the rifle in the face effect if the rifle has some recoil.
