Shooting the 460V

Loved my 460V :D

I did find though, nothing and I mean nothing I could load (following the book guidelines) matched up to the Hornady Custom loads.

Just EPIC!

Nice gun control BTW

Yeah.... I'm loading 31gr of 2400 with a 250 gr XTP and they're not even close to the factory Hornady stuff....

I really think they put like one grain of Nitro in there or something.

The closest I got was 41.6gr gr of Alliant 2400, under a 200gr hard cast. Great snap, good boom but no Hornady load.

It was kinda like a super 45LC load from Hell :D

Believe it or not, got almost no leading either with it. A nice bonus.

There's the odd picture of me out there.... :p My old BFR is out in Ft. Mac somewhere.... Wish I could upload the video of it going off. It wasn't nearly as pleasant to shoot.... ;)

I was gonna mention that as well.

I have shot a friends BFR in 460 a few times and that muzzle flies back at ya.

Cowboy design and lack of a muzzle break make a huge difference! ;)

If you want to shake a few cobwebs loose, try the 500 with a 440gr cast pushed by 37gr of H110.

You'll definately know when it goes off but heavy or light loads jacketed or cast, it shoots well with all of them.

460V is better, take 3 kinds of ammo instead of one expensive kind lol.

Because it can accept three different cartridges, more versitile, yes but that doesn't necessarily make it 'better'. For the most part, if I want to shoot another calibre, I'll get another gun. Less expensive to shoot perhaps if you're buying your ammo, yes. If you're 'rolling' your own, very little difference in cost.

I was just messing with ya lol.
