I was going to get the JR but was told by my local gun shop to stay away from them. Rapid fire issues & something about needing service & parts if you dry fire it?
I just got a Beretta CX4 in .40 from Epps. They put a long barrel on it so its non restricted.

The JR's are awesome, and are very accurate carbines. Taking the common 9mm Glock mags (in my example) makes them an excellent "go to" carbine to reach-out-and-touch beyond my G17.
Stop listening to people who "hear" about stuff, and listen to people who "have and use" the stuff.
Fcking gun shop sales people lately always seem to be fulla rhetoric and rumours --- I get the impression many don't own or even shoot.........Jebus

I have a JR and love it, it's accurate, and fun to shoot.
This is a market that will hopefully grow here in Canada. Seems to be several new $2K + options coming this year, but it would be nice to see more choices sub $2K
Yeah, its kind of rediculous isnt it? A RA XCR is almost the same price as a Noveske or LMT AR. There is something wrong with that as the XCR is no where near the quality of either of the above mentioned AR choices from what I hear. Then theres the Tavor and SA, again, way over priced imo. We need more black rifles and carbines priced at what their worth instead of being inflated because they can. Competition usually drives prices down though so, we just need more options at better prices and the other will come down.
I would drive over to Epps and pick one up, IF, IF the CX4 storm came with the long barrel from the factory. My issue spending a grand and then another 500 bucks to re-barrel it. It is nice to here some people are buying the lesser known brands. I have picked up a JR (not used) and could not form an opinion. What kind of accuracy are they getting from these guns at the 50 yard mark?

Dimitri, if all sub 2000s looked like yours, they'd be twice the price and twice the demand.
Hi-point carbine... Can be converted (though not easily) to non-res. And if the OP is only shooting at the range then why pay the "extra" for the non? FYI I looove my my hipoint and so does my wallet!
Here is mine. ATI stock, bbl shroud and extended basepads on the mags so you can actually seat them properly... Oh and a cheapo red dot on top. It will be getting scope on it though soonish....
group at 100 yards with the red dot... dot covers the entire target at that distance, hence why it's getting a scope soon.
