I said it would never happen... I bought a Glock...

OP, i hear you man.. i always really hated glocks, for their brutal looks... but not too long ago i got to try my friends G26, and fell in love.. would be a nice little pistol for my wife.. :)

I shot a G17 a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't bad. I am thinking about G22 now. I already have a Sig in 9mm. As a previous poster said, the Glock is a groundbreaking pistol and should be in everyone's collection. That plus super reliable and reasonably priced.

I remember a few years back there was a real hate on for these. Not sure why. They work well and I think they look good.

I just got back into handguns after a near 20 year hiatus. While working my way through all the red tape to get an ATT, I picked up 2 - 1911's (one 5" and one 4.25"), a Glock 22, an M&P9 and a Sig 226. My plan is to shoot them all and see which seems to suits me best, then sell the rest off and concentrate on getting proficient by working with one pistol. Before shooting, I was pretty sure I would like the 1911's best and the Glock was at the bottom of the pile. I took the Glock out yesterday (my first time shooting a Glock) with a mind to shoot up the ammo I had, confirm I didn't like it, then sell it first. Boy was I wrong! The Glock is conformable, very simple and easy to shoot well and when I stripped/cleaned it in about 5 minutes flat it hit me like a hammer why Glocks are so popular! I just picked up a whole bunch more .40 ammo today. :D

The Baron, welcome back to the world of HG's!
My first centerfire HG purchase was a 1911. It shot great but for a "newbie" it was a PITA to fieldstip/clean. My next HG was a Sig p220 which was easier to clean. When I got my G17 it was so easy to fieldstrip it saw most of the range time. As a result the G17 became my "go to".
While I enjoyed both the 1911 and Sig I eventually sold them. However, over time I missed shooting them so I combined both worlds and picked up a Sig1911:D
My most recent purchase (Gen4 G21) will give my other HG's a run for range time.
For me, Glocks are so easy to work on and don't need to be handled with "tender loving care".

I would never buy one...I've said that for years since my buddy bought one back in 87 the 1st year they came out when they had 17 shot clips in them .Frugly plastic Gun i told him LOL!! Guess what 25 years later now i own one bummer it only has the 10 shot clip...in it Phucking Laws..Too bad i waited so long there a very nice shooter i'm happy with mine a Gen 2 17 9mm shoots like a charm....Would i buy another sure why not....

Owned a G17 and 21SF, both sold 3 yrs ago and now was browsing for a G34 and Nobody seems to have them in stock.

Just arrived today.

Very nice! Love the gen4; they're sweet guns, feel great in the hand and I even think they look good!

I'm looking to add a G17 in gen4 to my collection as well.

The undisputed King of plastic reliability. haters gonna hate, but shooters are converted every day at ranges all over the world.
Welcome to the Brotherhood.
